Many families looking at this site will have players already in a club; but, for those of you who want to try a new sport, take a camp this summer.

The local league in Northern California for youth starting in elementary up to high school ages is the Northern California Junior Lacrosse Association. There are over 50 clubs for this age level, use the NCJLA list of clubs to find one near you!

Note, lacrosse is a spring sport, but many clubs will have LAX Fall Ball, which serves to maintain lacrosse skills and to evaluate players. So if you try a summer camp and love lacrosse do not wait until spring to start finding a club as many of them must limit the number of players on their rosters.

This map will help you find the fields where the various lacrosse teams play.

Lastly, in the fall some players play an indoor version of lacrosse called box lacrosse. In Canada, the national sport is field lacrosse, but in the summer when the hockey rings are free, they also love to play indoor lacrosse which they call Boxla or Box.
